About the property
This contemporary chalet offers a unique stay experience. The ascent of the hill, followed by the stairs, provides an impressive overlook of the surroundings. On the upper floor, nestled between the evening and morning terraces, the heart of the house offers panoramic views of the exceptional Charlevoix landscape. The dining room, kitchen, and living room spread out comfortably, allowing you to do the same under a whitewashed wooden ceiling. At the rear, a boudoir becomes an ideal retreat, nestled against the forest.
On the garden level, sheltered beneath the upper volume in the intimacy of the clearing, the pool, terrace, and spa provide a space for relaxation—a serene stop in nature, protected from the wind and bathed in sunlight. The bright bedrooms also enjoy the privacy of the undergrowth. According to its designer, the origins of L'Embâcle carry the colors of a natural and intimate epic: "Two blocks of ice, piled up, lie in the clearing. Abandoned by the torrent, marked by trials, vulnerable to the sun's assault, they fuse and embrace in a final clasp. Sometimes crystalline, sometimes fluffy, their whiteness celebrates the light, their transparency evokes their distant source. Whiffs of tundra, promises of life, cover the calm blocks with a duvet. L'Embâcle is meant to be a tribute to the North and its essential conquest, a thousand times over."
