The chalet La Blanche combines simplicity and modernity. Its raw concrete base evokes the foundations of old barns, while the upper levels, clad in white wood, recall the lime washes of the past. The living spaces, located on the top floor, offer a 360-degree panoramic view and a suspended living area that allows guests to admire the sunsets over the St. Lawrence Estuary.

About the property
The chalet La Blanche was designed as an echo of the vernacular homes of the Charlevoix region. Its clean architecture gently and modernly blends with the landscape. The raw concrete material of the lower level is a nod to the stone foundations of the old barns that once dotted the area. This base also serves as a foundation for the main entrance. Perched on this podium, the two upper levels are clad in white-stained wood, recalling the lime wash that was once applied to the region's ancestral homes. The wood surfaces vary between smooth, raw, or perforated textures across the facades, adding a sense of lightness and cheerfulness. The four bedrooms of La Blanche are arranged on the central floor to maximize the panoramic views offered by the living spaces located on the top level. The kitchen and dining room benefit from abundant 360-degree glazing, while the living area is situated in a dramatic cantilevered structure whose singular form evokes the design of the typical bridges in the region. This perch allows guests to enjoy the enchanting sunsets of Cap-à-l'Aigle and the shimmering reflections of the St. Lawrence Estuary, all while being comfortably sheltered within the cozy embrace of the house.
